The concept of diversity has become increasingly vital in academics as well as industries. Language, attitude, and behavior play a significant role in establishing a diverse and inclusive environment.
In this online training workshop, participants would engage with 'what' are diverse identities, 'why' they matter, and 'how' to respond to discriminating situations. It consists of 10 Units across two weeks.
Level: Beginners
We would cover the following topics:
- Understanding Identity through intersectionality
- Power & privilege
- Unconscious Bias and Microaggression
- Exercises using Perspective-taking & Active Witnessing Response technique
In the last section, participants will learn how to take steps to bring change and be an active upstander. Participants would require to engage with the course work in multiple forms, interact with others and submit a reflection essay at the end of the course.
